Better than the title - The Incredibles Reviews
I'm not sure what movie that dunderhead reviewer from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution saw, but it wasn't the Incredibles. Perhaps the "does my butt look big?" joke offended her.
This movie lives up to its name and more. From a clever and witty story by Brad Bird, to the action-movie shots, to the amazing CGI effects (just watch Violet's hair move), to the great voicings by the cast, it is a hit.
Woven into the action is a story about a family in crisis (not major, but hints that it could become such if things don't get on track), frustration with work, and missed opportunities.
No spoilers here. Just go see it.

Fun flick - The Incredibles Reviews
This is a good film, although it will be more appreciated by adult audiences. It's not the laugh-a-minute flick that the commercials make it appear to be. Instead, it's a fairly thoughtful story about heroism and the importance of family. While the kids in the audience liked it, it didn't seem to connect with them the way that flicks like Finding Nemo do. Still, it's definitely worth seeing.
Superb! loved it - wonderful family film! - The Incredibles Reviews
The whole family went to see this film; young and old alike loved it. The story line was very witty and fun with everything all coming together in the end! Very entertaining, and humorous alike. There was nothing that I disliked about this film at all. FIVE Stars! So cute...highly recommended for all. My 6 year old son was so inspired by Dash's fast running that we "dashed" all the way back to the car out of the theater running as "FAST AS we could"! :) It even made mommy want to be a superhero! ;)
Don't wait for the dvd...see this on a big screen! - The Incredibles Reviews
I am amazed that Pixar's graphics keep getting better! The action sequences pulled you in like a 3D movie.
The story had original twists and turns. There were slow moving moments in the story, but the kids in the audience stayed riveted, and quiet throughout the movie.
I would suggest this movie to anyone of any age. You will enjoy every minute of this incredible movie!

Incredible incredibles - The Incredibles Reviews
Infectious concoction is an incredible delight. The spectacular animation is anchored by a solid, well-constructed story ? suitable for all ages. Not only is this film a charmer, it is one of the best films to come out in 2004. This is a gem not to be missed.
Deal with the devil - The Incredibles Reviews
It's blatently apparent by now that Pixar has made some kind of deal with the Prince of Darkness, because they have now delivered 6 out of 6 flawless hits, with The Incredibles atop their successes.
Movie making just doesn't get any better than this, and i'm not just referring to animated film making, but ALL movie making. Whether you are an adult, a kid, or a teenager, this film will move you. It has it all; a great story, an original setting, tons of humor, a point, and an endearing connection to the characters.
Like the rest of the Pixar libary, I plan to purchase this one when it comes out on DVD. And of course with the Devil dealing studio, this one will come hot out of the box!
Less than expected but still a good entertainment - The Incredibles Reviews
No way, for one reason or the other you have to see the movie (your children want it, your couple wish it, you secretly need it). And you are ready for a terrific movie, looking at your back with gems as Toy Story or Finding Nemo. Well, two pieces make the start not very good: the teaser for the following release ("Cars") doesn't look very amazing and the animation short of the sheep is frankly below expectations (remember "Birds"!). But then, The Incredibles starts! and it starts quite impressive, again the script is the key, the day to day family crisis is superbly managed, the children fight at dinner time is the movie peak! But after our main characters are back to superhero business, then the more basic action movie starts (nevertheless with excellent quality!), but only this... Let's say they almost did it again, but once you are going to see it, it is quite enjoyable.

Pixar starts to grow up - The Incredibles Reviews
"The Incredibles" is a new venture for Pixar Studios: it contains (as main characters) human beings. And these human beings, as is unfortunatley the case of our world, carry guns. Some people have criticized Pixar for bringing this "standard" Hollywood material to their usually creative, nonconforming films. But I think what Pixar has done is more daring. With "The Incredibles", it has taken typical Hollywood crap and thrown it through a loop. Their best movie so far.
Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) has been forced to live as an anonymous citizen with his family after being sued because he saved a suicide victim's life. His wife, Elastigirl (Holly Hunter), has adjusted well to civilian life, but the Mr. yearns for the old days. Sometimes, he goes out undercover with his old friend Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) to save a few lives. So obviously, Mr. Incredible jumps at the chance to get back in action when he is offered a high-paying job by a top-secret government agency (sound suspicious?). When things don't go as planned, Mrs. Incredible and the children must set out to save Dad and the world.
The story would be, in any other film, one of the most cliched, boring, "same old s--t, different movie" screenplays ever put to film. But director's Brad Bird's ingenious is he takes these standardizations and turns them in for laughs, and he gives his film a big, warm, fuzzy heart. This all factors into make an otherwise predictable storyline, forgivable. The first-rate performances and groundbreaking visuals are just a bonus.
Craig T. Nelson is best known for his role in "Coach" on TV. I think this plays to his advantage because he can simply become Mr. Incredible. He relays the Big Guy's nostalga and his unwillingness to let go. Holly Hunter gives the best performance, though, as Nelson's wife, Elastigirl. She is the emotional centerpiece of the film and carries a lot of the movie herself. She gets a lot of laughs and a lot of tearjerking moments. Jason Lee is excellent as the villian, Syndrome, veering between psychopathic and pathetic. And of note is the director himself's performance as Edna, the fashion designer of superheroes. Her segments are the film's funniest scenes.
Director Brad Bird has a bit of a cult following after his critical darling, the animated feature "The Iron Giant". Bird brings that movie's grown-up attitude mixed with little kid fun to "The Incredibles". The movie does have some serious themes and explores them thoroughly, but it never loses its sense of fun. It never preaches because it's always playing, and that's been the beauty of all Pixar films. They can send you a message without ramming it down your throat. And "The Incredibles", in the tradition of "Toy Story" and "Finding Nemo", is always fun to watch.
"The Incredibles" has a lot of high expectations from fans of Pixar's previous movies, but I don't think anyone will be disappointed. Yes, it's a little more grown-up than the others, but I believe that is its strength, not its weakness. "The Incredibles" proves it can reach out to all age groups and give each one of them a good time. One of the best movies of the year (so far).
12:01 @ el capitan - The Incredibles Reviews
More adult, but all the fun of the previous Pixar Blockbusters, The Incredibles rocked my world tonight at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood. The humor and especially the originality of Pixar's movies never cease to amaze me. I can't wait until they are out of their contract with Disney! This movie is a definite must see, but don't expect all the kid orientation of Nemo and Toy Story, this one also targets the Adults.

D - for dumb humor - Wedding Crashers Reviews
I am simply let down everytime I get talked into going to an american made comedy. Who's rating these comedy movies... post pubescent boys and girls? I guess if you think bare breasted women, stupid cliches' and just plain dumb writing is funny... more power to you. I'll stick to the foreign comedies, until Hollywood can produce something more funny than this type of garbage.

Finally, a boy movie - The Incredibles Reviews
As a 40-something Dad reminiscing fondly about the "good old days" with my 4-year-old boy at my side, I simply can't imagine a better moviegoing experience than seeing "The Incredibles" on opening day, 2004. As a father and husband, I can't imagine a better metaphor and fantasy for great family life. And to top it all, some of the best action sequences you'll see EVER (after all, 95% of Hollywood action sequences today are CGI anyway, right?). If you can't see it in digital, see it while the prints are still in good shape; you won't want to miss a pixel.

The incredibles are incredible!! - The Incredibles Reviews
WARNING: might have spoilers.
I went to see this movie with my boyfriend the day it opened and it rocked our socks off from start to end!
First off, there was a lil' animated clip in between the previews that was catchy, entertaining, and very well made. I don't want to give too much away, so let's just say it involved a lil' lamb.
Then, the movie itself was hilarious! I was in the theater with families and couples; the movie had parents, college students, and elementary school age children laughing at the same time. Each character was well developed - you felt a resonance that made you feel as if you could relate to the pain, laughter, and shared family moments.
The graphics, as usual, are quality Pixar - seeing it on big screen is very much worth it!! :) :)
An incredible pixar film! - The Incredibles Reviews
One of the best! Disney has been making great improvement lately with the help of Pixar's Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc., The incredibles, and other Pixar movies! These aren't just for kids, they're for the adults too. It's first class entertainment that's mixed in with meaning, action, and laughs! The story is about retired heroes that go back to being the heroes thay were. It's huge fun and adventure! It's one pixar's best. Hopefully more great family films will come!
Refreshingly uncliche; audience clapped at end - The Incredibles Reviews
Like the IRON GIANT which has always been one of my all-time favorites (animation or not), Brad Bird's INCREDIBLES nearly rises to the same heights of IRON GIANT (though the IRON GIANT touched me personally much more, and had some scenes which were much funnier).
The computer effects of INCREDIBLES are brilliant, beautiful, creative.
The story starts off a bit slow, it seemed, but within twenty minutes, the story and characters had me firmly engrossed. The movie touches on what reality would be like if we happened to have superhumans going about saving the world. And like we mortals, there are the occasional mid-life crises as well as the irritations of having unearthly powers, such as super strength, etc. All these things are explored with a story that remains fresh and appealing to the eyes.
As with the IRON GIANT, we get to see the director's love of War of the Worlds-type robotic creatures, as well as a throwback to a much simpler life (at least visually) with its 50s-era cars, clothing, etc.
The film had some touching moments...truly worthwhile (as good as SHREK 2 though a different kind of film). The movie is highly recommended; I hope to see it a second time just for the visuals alone...
The 5-minute piece that was attached was also great! Truly neat stuff!!!

Incredibly incredible! - The Incredibles Reviews
When I walked into the packed, noisy theatre with my brother commenting that everything in the theatre was incredible, I expected to see an almost Finding Nemo style of movie. The Incredibles goes farther than Finding Nemo. I cannot name one character who was not well developed in this movie. Even the little toddler who is always watching Mr. Incredible is outstanding. Packed jam full of action, explosions and character, this cartoon movie is on its' way to the oscars- and I'm not kidding.

A very good family film - The Incredibles Reviews
This is a very good film because it shows that, even superheroes have hard time getting through a regular day. Each member of their family have a different problems, just like us. At the same time it is also very fun to watch how they use their super powers. Go check it out!

Disney&pixars's best movie yet! one of 2004's best - The Incredibles Reviews
Disney&Pixar just keeps getting better and better. In fact, "The Incredibles" is their best movie yet, a triumph even over "Finding Nemo". Maybe it's because Pixar took a break from unique creatures and this time focused instead on... humans.
Craig T. Nelson voices Mr. Incredible, a super human with super strength who's always there to save the day. Unfortunately, people begin criticizing him for unwanted rescues, and soon he and his wife Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) are forced to quit their crime-fighting and live among us.
All is miserable 15 years later, when Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl begin to go by Bob and Helen Parr. Bob has a boring job at an insurance company, and Helen is struggling at home raising their children: their gloomy daughter Violet (who has the powers of invisibility and creating force fields), their fiesty son Dash (who has the power of speed), and their baby boy Jack Jack (who has no powers as of now). Pretty soon Bob is so sick of his normal life that he finally anwers to a mysterious call that enlists him to a remote island. He quits his job and goes there for a while to do his super-human deeds again. Instructed by his beautiful female boss Mirage, Bob life is happier once again, though Helen has no idea what he's doing and doesn't know that he quit his job.
However, Bob soon finds out that it's all a big set-up when he's captured by the evil Syndrome (Jason Lee), who was a fan of Mr. Incredible as a kid but grew angry when Mr. Incredible didn't let him be his partner. Soon Helen and the kids get caught in the mess and end up on the island, where they begin to struggle hard to save the day...and Bob.
There are many unique characters in this film, including the superhero-costume designer E (voiced by the director Brad Bird). E is a hysterical little lady; she even gives Bob a lecture about why he shouldn't wear capes. My favorite character in the movie is Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson), who has the power of freezing and is Bob's friend in the city.
The director of "The Incredibles", Brad Bird, previously directed the wonderful animated fim "The Iron Giant", and this time he's bounced up even higher. I didn't expect to give this movie an A+, but I found myself loving it that much. "Finding Nemo" used to be Disney&Pixar's masterpiece, but now "The Incredibles" has taken its place(Disney&Pixar are soon to release their latest film, "Cars"). This is by far the best animated film of the year (a lot better than "Shrek 2), and one of the five best movies of the year. Catch "The Incredibles" now: it's incredible!
And before the film, catch the oscar-nominated animated short film "Boundin'", it'll give you a good laugh before the movie begins!
Naysayers beware....this movie rocks! - The Incredibles Reviews
There are those that say this movie shouldn't have been made by Pixar, either saying the source material wasn't very "Pixar-like" or that the message they try to convey doesn't work very well through animation. I think just about any of these complaints about The Incredibles is hogwash. This is a great movie that almost everyone should get a real kick out of, and it should add another notch (this time at the PG level) to Pixar's already stunning list of accomplishments.
The animation is again superb, more than living up to the Pixar tradition (these guys just keep getting better and better). Character development really shines through and makes up for any misgivings with the slightly one-dimensional plotline. Human characters are both believeable and cartoony at the same time, really well done. The voice acting is spot-on, delivering a witty script with impeccable timing and comic genius (all three of the lead characters are voiced so well, you begin to forget they are animated). The sound is awesome, from the explosions to the crashes to the great soundtrack, everything feels "right" and immerses you more and more into the movie.
The Incredibles does indeed start out a little slow (mainly to properly develop the characters), so small kids might get antsy through the first 1/4 of the movie. TBH, this movie will probably appeal to older folk (preteens on up) more than any of Pixar's previous offerings. Pixar finally went out and did a PG movie, and the results are indeed INCREDIBLE!
Finally a toon movie for the whole family - The Incredibles Reviews
I am sure many parents may be concerned about taking kids to the theater anymore due to "kid-flics" like Shreck 2 and the like. The 'Incredibles' is a fun movie that anyone can enjoy. It's funny without all the "subtle" sexual slants found in the recent kids movies. It truly is a movie for all ages. I would recommend it to all! Enjoy.

Super fun!! - The Incredibles Reviews
WOMAN where is my suuuuuuper suit?
Whhhhhhhhy do you neeeeed to know?
I have seen that commercial a thousand times and it never got old. And when I finally got to see it in the theater it was funnier then what I saw in the commercial.
I know of the Fantastic Four and how they were like a big family. This movie has many, if by accident or not, references to the Fantastic Four. The end is pure reference of the Fantastic Four. It had me laughing.
I enjoyed the animation a lot. The water was amazing. I know it is difficult to do the water and the fire and they had both and it looked good. I bet the water on the hair was a pain in the butt but it looked good as well.
This movie was everything I expected it to be. It was fun, it was funny, it had a little bit of heart and true mocking humor of what might occur in this time if we were to have heroes.
The mini cartoon at the beginning was funny and disturbing and I'll never look at a sheep the same again.
The Incredibles is worthy of another paid see at the movies and I had good laughs from the beginning to the end. Good Pixar and good job Disney for backing greatness.
A great show for all - The Incredibles Reviews
This is an excellent show that will please everyone. The graphics are amazing and a couple of times I had to remind myself that it was animation because it just looked so real. This is a great movie that will be enjoyed by all!
Solid family fun - The Incredibles Reviews
The Incredibles is solid fun from the moment it begins until the moment it ends. The latest output from Pixar is funny, charismatic, and, as always, beautifully animated. In my opinion, it is Disney and Pixar's greatest feat yet.
The phrase "fun for the whole family" is overused, but this is a case where it really applies. It absolutely enthralls kids (when I saw it, half of the audience was under ten and none of them were squirming), while having enough subtle jokes to keep the adults laughing along with their children. It completely accomplishes its goal: even if you walk in not expecting to laugh at "a kid's movie", you'll be smiling at the sheer zany fun of the film. There's just no way around it.
The story is great for its sheer absurdity, the visuals are breathtaking, and the fun the voice actors had when recording the film jumps off the screen. If you're looking for a movie to take the kids to this weekend, this is the must-see. And if you don't have kids, don't let that stop you.

First movie i've liked this well in a long time - The Incredibles Reviews
In Pixar's headquarters is carved the inscription, "No amount of technology can turn a bad story into a good one," and they have not forgotten that with The Incredibles. Writer/Director Brad Bird, a relatively new addition to Pixar, although his son Nicholas voiced Squirt in Finding Nemo, brings us another quality story with a strong central theme. It reminds us that whatever else happens, what really counts is family and being true to yourself.
The story starts sometime after all the "supers" have been forced underground by a string of lawsuits. The government bails the superheroes out in return for them going into the Superhero Relocation Program.
The only problem is that it doesn't work for some people. Bob Parr (the former Mr. Incredible) longs to be super again, and the result of his repressing his desires is an ever-expanding gut and receding hairline. He despises the way he has to suppress his abilities to fit in ("When everyone is special, no one is"). He does some clandestine moonlighting with pal Lucious (Frozone) as his only real escape from enslavement in a cubicle.
That is, it is his only real escape until a mysterious woman named Mirage offers him an opportunity to travel to an island (which, incidentally, looks like something straight out of Bond). There he gets captured by Syndrome, a misguided guy who is bent on unleashing a robot so that he can go defeat it and become a superhero. Bob's wife, Helen (aka Elastigirl), flies off to save him, unknowingly with stowaways.
Everything about the movie is superb. The themes of the movie (strength of character, strength of family) are not made subtly, but it works in the context of the film. Brad Bird's direction of his script (as well as his voicing of Edna Mode, former costumer of all the supers -- no capes!!) is spot-on. The comedy in the movie is humorous and often witty, with a touch of slapstick. The action sequences are frenetic.
And then there are the visuals. Pixar have once again outdone themselves. Each movie has raised the technical bar. After Monsters Inc (particularly Sulley's fur blowing in the wind after he falls off his sled) and Finding Nemo (the murky quality to the ocean and vibrant colors), they had their work cut out for them, and they delivered. The hair and clothing effects are spectacular (particularly Violet's hair coming over her face, and the wet hair in the ocean), but what really caught my attention was the use of light and shadow. The shadows, particularly in the jungle sequences, really gave the objects in those scenes a depth and beaty that only Shrek 2 has come close to.
My whole family loved this movie. I though the action sequences might be a bit much for them. There are guns and images of death, but my family didn't really seem to mind. My five year-old said it's the "Best Best Best Movie" she's ever seen. I have to say that at 33 years old, it's one of the better movies, let alone animated movies, I've ever seen. I wouldn't mind paying again to go see it, and I haven't been able to say that in a very long time.
A must see for adults and children! - The Incredibles Reviews
This is Pixar's best animated feature yet! The animation details on many of the water and natural elements scenes looked incredibly real as if they were shot photographically rather than computer generated. Also, the characters' facial expressions, lip movements, body movements, and physics looked very real as well. Nothing in the movie was offensive and there was no off-color humor that would be inappropriate for children. Craig T. Nelson and Holly Hunter play both hero and parent flawlessly, and Jason Lee is a terrific villain.
Bird's animated triumph - The Incredibles Reviews
What sets the Incredibles apart from other animated movies we've seen is it deals with sensitive topics like impotence fears, midlife crisis, child neglect, etc. There are no talking fish or insects. Instead, Brad Bird has made a film that breaks the protocol which animated movies seemed to have been following recently. Despite the first PG rating given to a Pixar
film, it delivers the perfect formula of a sublime comedy and emotions to the superhero wave that hollywood was hit with recently. At 115 minutes, being the longest-ever CG-animated film, it never junks up its script nor compromises on any other aspects.Bird has certainly crafted a film - one of the year's best.
An incredible movie! - The Incredibles Reviews
I went to a midnight screening of this film, and I was in no way disappointed. The previews that were shown before the movie were for Star Wars Episode III, due out in May, and Pixar's Cars, which is due out next November. The film short, about the Jackelope and the Sheep, that played at the start of the movie was very entertaining and had a catchy tune that went along with it. The movie itself was very enjoyable, and it was made in a way that will be engaging to both kids and adults. The story is good, and the characters are very easy to relate to, because the Incredibles represent the average American semi-dysfunctional family that has trouble communicating, despite caring for each other. The environment in which the characters exist in is also very easy to relate to, because it mirrors problems in American society, such as the legal system, with everybody wanting to sue, and the insurance industry, with the focus being put on profits rather than clients. The super villian (Syndrome) in the movie is also done up very well, because although you will hate him, you will also be able to sympathize with his character and why he is the way that he is.
Overall, I don't see any reason for anybody to give this movie a bad review. It delivers exactly what it says that it will in the previews, and it has significant family themes similar to Finding Nemo. It's also very well written, and every character in the movie is likeable. Get out and see this movie! Whether you're a kid or an adult, you won't be disappointed! A+
Ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! i couldn't stop laughing!!! - The Incredibles Reviews
THE BEST ANIMATED CARTOON OF ALL TIME!!!
FUUUUNNY!!! You will laugh until your sides split.
It has humour. Drama. Special effects! Ridicules the damn political correctness so rampant today. Makes
fun of our ridculous court system, governemnt buracracy, and heartless big business. Not to mention
bickering siblings and a baby that is to die for.
You will laugh till you cry. If this isn't the first
animated movie to win the Oscar for best picture I
will be supprised.
It is to bad they do not have a grade higher than
A+ or I would give it.
"dash" to the incredibles..... - The Incredibles Reviews
This review will be short and to the point since most animated films are not rocket science. This film will appeal to any fan of animation who enjoys movies about superheroes.
The plot is clever and pokes fun at today's society and the animation is first rate. The voices used for each character fit well and they even sneak in the voice of Wallace Shawn (Inconceivable!).
There are several fanstastic action sequences although the violence level may be a bit high for some parents taste. I thought the film was very good and it was to animated action what Shrek 2 was to animated humor.
Definitely worth seeing if you have kids or if you enjoy superhero films. If the upcoming Fantastic Four film needs any ideas, this is where they should get them.

Unbiased real review. pixar, the new disney? - The Incredibles Reviews
I actually voted this movie lower in all departments, so that you would be interested in reading my review.
The movie is excellent and not boring as some reviewers have suggested. The entire time seeing this film passed very quickly, (which is usually the way I judge great films)-It kept me thoroughly entertained and on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The James Bond tone of the movie lends itself to some slow times, as the superheroes are figuring things out and then spring into action! And surprises abound - especially with the super hero baby!
Liking intellectual movie themes and stories, perhaps more simple minded folk won't understand good plot development and won't like the film's pacing.
I believe this is one of the most clever and well executed movies of the year a definite A+.
Pixar has achieved what Disney acchieved in the 30's, 40's and 50's. People will see the newest animation release just to see how far the animation enevlope has been pushed - Just incredible!!!
"incredibles" rocks! - The Incredibles Reviews
I had a great time watching this film. Pixar once again delivers a film that pushes the limits of computer animation and story telling. They amazed us with "Toy Story", the proved that they could succeed with a sequal in "Toy Story 2", "Monsters Inc." was just great and "Finding Nemo" was even better. "The Incredibles" can proudly stand next to these masterpieces.
The story is very original, taking an almost unheard of new twist on the super-hero genre. Each character brought so much to the story and helped to propel the plot.
Director Brad Bird really has a strong understanding of film making. His imagination comes through so clearly in every aspect of this picture.
The dialogue is perfect, the action is jaw-dropping and utterly incredible, the characters are fun and inventive and every audience member will be pleased by what they see on the screen! That is surely an accomplishment that cannot be overlooked.
The actors who provided the voices for the characters need to be commended for doing such a "real human" job. Even the children who were in the film did a good job at their acting.
Overall, this film lived up to what only my imagination could......imagine. I loved it and honestly can't wait to see it again.
It will take the film world by storm and just might take "Nemo" from its current status as box office king.
P.S. Don't be late, you are sure to love the short "Boundin'" that is shown before the feature.
...incredible! - The Incredibles Reviews
"Finding Nemo" step aside! Pixar has done it again. And, it's a good thing for the entertainment starved people out there that animation writer-director Brad Bird hung in for another try after his weak-kneed "Iron Giant," which didn't appear to be such a crowd pleaser. Do these folks know how to put a blazing action adventure story together, or what?! The Pixar producers and other team geniuses have the formula down, and it's anything but formulaic.
What formula does underlying a superbly crafted animated comedy is simply good storytelling, starting with a central character we can get thoroughly involved with, and in and creating zippingly good action with a human twist. Immensely well-thought out conflict choreography and eye-pleasing visual design doesn't hurt.
The whole film is wrapped in an envelope of high paced action, clean language (for the "Nemo" contingents), rib-tickled, jaw-dropped, non-stop inventiveness. It has everything to muscle its way into your admiration. The good guys beat the bad guys with their special skills, and homey values to make a soccer mom proud.
The casting is another part of that Pixar genius and, while there isn't a weak larynx in the bunch, the special qualities of Holly Hunter's voice and delivery style is a marvel that's only been awaiting such a knockout opportunity. She does for this box office heavyweight what Ellen Degeneres did with equal singularity for "Nemo."
This is the comics of the 21st century, in the fullest realization of the term. If you don't love it I've got a nice flat for you on Mars. Meanwhile, records for box office receipts look out. There's a new bonanza on the block.

"where's my super-suit?" - beyond incredible! - The Incredibles Reviews
I've watched animated Super Heros and read comics for years and this is a Welcome addition to the Lexicon of Super-Hero Traditions. I'm ready for a sequal, animated TV series, Breakfast Cerial...in all honesty I bought two of the movies action-figures (That normally come free w/ a 'Kiddie Meal') on a whim cause I was soo delighted with these characters.
It's really a great story and easy to follow if your young but, for adults it's manages greater over-tones and is about the reality of the after-glow of being "Super" with jokes about Mid-life crisises, Secret Identidys VRS. Day-Jobs, Raising Super-Kids, and the need to want to be of service and Help others- Excellent lessons for ALL Ages!. There's No corny riffs on "Good vrs Evil" and there's also NO sexual content or Foul Language!- Minus the super-hero violence (Smashing buildings, explosive robots, and super-fighting) it's Tamer than both "Shrek" films and had a sly and witty humor more like "Toy Story".
The Voice actors ALL enjoyable and no one gets painted as a 'Stock-Character' everyone advances the story and makes this a joy to behold. I must mention Jason Lee's performace as "Syndrome". His fans from the Kevin Smith movies will notice a few "Brodie Bruce" touches and he's perfectly placed in this film. The direction and Art-work were beyond Incredible!
Sure "Skrek" made millions of dollars but, this is a whole new kinda cool and toke many more risks and this film deserves some kinda award at Oscar time simply cause it exists. There's also no cheap "product placement" and no catchy phrase or gimmicks it's simply a story of a Mid-level man who USED TO BE a hero and has to save the world after they've abandoned him- Incredibley told and concieved.

Step aside shark tale!!! - The Incredibles Reviews
Unbelievable! I went into this Movie with high ecpectations, but after Shark Tale was not sure if this movie would deliver... Let's just say that i was not let down! This is not the movie i was expecting nor will it be for you! The twist is incredible and kind of leaves you shocked and unprepared for the excellence that will follow.
The story starts with Mr incredible heading to a formal event when you are introduced to his super character. The movie continues with Mr incredible saving lives and helping the community like any super hero should, except the community starts getting restless and lawsuit happy. And so starts the downfall of the super hero. The twist happens here and will leave you very confused as of where the movie may be going, but don't fret... just watch. The end is next to perfect and will not leave you completely hanging.
Further, for you parents wondering of the nature of this PG film (you have all seen Shrek, need i say more in regard to these newer animated features) the movie includes hillarious adult innuendo that younger children would never pick up. Everything from drinking games to sexual connotation keep the laughes coming from the adult portion of the crowd, while children will be equally entertained with the normal disney humor.
All in all do not miss this movie. It was no less than incredible!
