Naysayers beware....this movie rocks! - The Incredibles Reviews

There are those that say this movie shouldn't have been made by Pixar, either saying the source material wasn't very "Pixar-like" or that the message they try to convey doesn't work very well through animation. I think just about any of these complaints about The Incredibles is hogwash. This is a great movie that almost everyone should get a real kick out of, and it should add another notch (this time at the PG level) to Pixar's already stunning list of accomplishments. The animation is again superb, more than living up to the Pixar tradition (these guys just keep getting better and better). Character development really shines through and makes up for any misgivings with the slightly one-dimensional plotline. Human characters are both believeable and cartoony at the same time, really well done. The voice acting is spot-on, delivering a witty script with impeccable timing and comic genius (all three of the lead characters are voiced so well, you begin to forget they are animated). The sound is awesome, from the explosions to the crashes to the great soundtrack, everything feels "right" and immerses you more and more into the movie. The Incredibles does indeed start out a little slow (mainly to properly develop the characters), so small kids might get antsy through the first 1/4 of the movie. TBH, this movie will probably appeal to older folk (preteens on up) more than any of Pixar's previous offerings. Pixar finally went out and did a PG movie, and the results are indeed INCREDIBLE!
